MEET THE TEAM BEHIND
EVERLASTING CROWNS
NAA, RHYS AND NICOLA
Our founders recognised the unique challenges and pressures faced by athletes navigating success and disappointment, which was often a lonely road. They envisioned a platform where athletes could find community and grow confidently by sharing their faith in all settings.
The current team stewarding the ministry is Nicola, Naa, and Rhys. Nicola and Naa are familiar faces and leaders on the international athletics circuit. Rhys is Nicola’s husband. He has a wealth of experience in ministry and brings fresh perspective and advice to athletes who want to pursue Jesus.
WHERE THE NAME
'EVERLASTING CROWNS'
CAME FROM
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
"Do you not know that in a race, all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."

OUR MANDATE

To make disciples of all nations

Support and fellowship

To transform culture

OUR VISION
To see millions come to faith in Jesus Christ through the platform given in sports.
LEVELS OF REACH IN
OUR MINISTRY
Salvation: New athletes who come to Christ will have a discipleship program, be linked to a small group and taught how to read the bible and pray. Athlete is connected to a chaplain and connected to a church to grow faith.
Discipleship: The next level is athletes being able to share their testimony in public, taught how to lead a small group and entrusted with other athletes who are new believers to disciple. This is leadership level in a smaller setting and trained in the right doctrine so the athlete can live led by the Holy Spirit within different environments.
Church: The following level is being sent out to churches in the area as well as regions where the athlete competes to share their testimony to the more public churches and minsitries. In being sent out they will be an ambassador and completely covered, they will be a linking point of the church and sports, and gain strong connections to the local community.
Stadium: The progression from Church is to share the testimonies and gospel outside the building to mini revival meetings in the areas we are well connected to the church communities and have favour in the regions. The athlete will be discipled by current stadium evangelists and taught to share on the largest platforms in a way that is understandable to all. This will occur in the Olympic stadiums and venues used usually to host sports will see athletes preaching the gospel in.
WHAT WE WANT
TO DO
Outside of our online calls, we have a dream of equipping other athletes to:
• Lead bible studies and Christian meetings at major competitions
• Be apart of discipleship homes on the road
• Be connected to chaplaincy, churches and communities of Christian athletes internationally wherever they are
WHAT WE DON'T DO

We will never be a replacement for a proper church community. To be taught to follow Jesus means being linked into a church that teaches the bible and gives opportunity for fellowship outside of sport. We are so happy to link and direct you to people to meet you exactly where you are at, yet our heart is to equip you.
